Sweet September
By: Marvin Alexis

Sweet September solitude under sun-stroked skies
shimmers secrets of this supple slit of an existence,
and yet as sweetness slumbers in my eyes
I conjure thoughts that breed reluctance.

Although these secrets sealed with
perpendicularly fingered lips
shall never taste
nor touch
nor kiss
sweetness swallowed whole by snowy bliss,
they'll whisper of just another never,
of whose sweet presence I'll wholly miss.

Where does it snow in September? Not New York at least. Last year, well this year, it only snowed on my birthday. Made me feel all special n shit.

Well, let's give it up for a guy in love/lust who lacks the nadz to do something about it.

That pic was taken quite a while ago, possibly in 2001, me at my HS lunch table, looking oh so alone in the company of his Iced tea, and lunch buddies, who you can't see. Would you believe I'm the cameraman?
Didn't think so, a friend, Marc, was testing out his digital cam. That blur effect is innate. Cool, huh....?

Yo! That's me!!! On the right, lookin thru my bag! Ha ha. Man those days at tech seem such a long time ago, but I glad I'm outta that prison. Yo awesome poem, "Although these secrets sealed with perpendicularly fingered lips". Niceness.

This is really beautiful. Excellent use of alliteration throughout. And just the overall mood is a sort of tender melancholy. Very nice writing.

This is wonderful. Truly.

As Utro said, damn good use of alliteration. I really like this, and the subject matter is difficult to tackle in a fresh way, but you managed it.

I'm gonna have to go see what else you have here.

Beautiful work. There's an incredible oral quality to this piece, it demands to be read aloud and to be savoured. Extraordinarily evocative piece, very rich in tone and nostalgic.
